Yeah! Finally the weekend!
Me and my girlfriend were planning to just take it easy this weekend by watching James Bond DVDs on our brand new 42 Inch HD LCD TV. We both are movie buffs and that’s what we like to do when we have some time off.
We both work hard and appreciate the time when we can just relax in front of the TV. But we are not TV addicts per say because we are not into TV programs that much due to our ectic work schedules. What we really enjoy is a good movie from our DVD collections.
We have many DVD collector sets. It can be old TV shows or TV series also. Every occasion we have we grab one when we see a good deal at the store or online. My father has build a nice wooden cabinet to file them neatly.
So this week I was looking if there was any TV series available on DVD, but I could not find any… That’s no big problem because I know where I can buy TV shows on DVD online.
Anyhow as I was browsing the DVD section at my favorite store and I saw a great special on collectors set of agent 007. I know the complete list of James Bond movies by heart so when I noticed the sale they had on James Bond 21 DVD collection, I did not have to think twice! I just grabbed them on the spot. One more great DVD collection to store in our cabinet!
So here we are, it is "friday night at the movies for us". It is called cocooning I think. We have everything ready and when I say everything it includes all the munchies and favorite drinks as well.
My girlfriend was very glad that I bought the whole James Bond DVD collection. She is very interested by that cool agent 007. I was thinking of finding a party costume of him for our next halloween party, but don’t tell her, it’s a surprise.
So now we were facing a problem. Which James Bond movie should we watch first? There are so many. So we looked at the James Bond movies in chronological order first:

The old ones are just great for my girl friend. But I mostly like the latest ones. The special effects are phenomenal.
" Houston we have a problem "… We could not decide which DVD to watch among the 21 DVDs collection we had in our hand. So I told my girlfriend to close her eyes, then I put on the coffee table the complete list of James Bond movies so she could pick one without looking.
I saw her finger go slowly over the complete list of James Bond movies. She went over Golden Eye, Tomorow never dies, Goldfinger, Octopussy, Licence to Kill then went back up the list to Dr.No and almost stopped there but start moving again and her finger went over and stopped. And the winner is…Gold Finger.
She oppened her eyes and start laughing. We were both ready to watch and spend a great evening watching movies on DVDs. That is the nice thing about having our own DVDs collection. We can watch our favorite old TV shows, TV series like "Lost" or "Heroes" and many more whenever we want. But this weekend, it is a James Bond movies festival in our own living room.
Ok ready, quiet! The "Gold Finger" movie is starting…
